Blower system for use with my waste oil burner.
The blower I use with my waste oil burner is a bouncy castle blower that I bought on Ebay for £5.00 They are often sold on Ebay for a reasonable price. The one I bought is driven by a 2800 RPM 380 Watt induction motor. The blower casing is about 13.5" diameter. They are less noisy than vacuum cleaner blowers. To control the air flow I use a home made butterfly valve (Similar to a carburettor or throttle body from a car engine.) driven by a model control servo. It would probably be easier to use an old carburettor or throttle body. I have a hand held control so that you can look inside the furnace while adjusting the air flow. A switch on the remote control also drives a relay with a 12 volt coils to switch the blower on and off.
